A Big Surge In Traffic
I mentioned in my last post that this site is getting a big surge in traffic. The main reason for this is that I’m running an ad over at the blog of Tom Tomorrow, the creator of the syndicated strip This Modern World. Another reason is that I’m becoming more adept at using Google Adwords to bring quality traffic over to my two sites.
The Misfit’s Journey site is actually seeing a bigger surge than this blog, but many of the people hitting that site are hitting its comments button, which takes them over here. I’ve been averaging somewhere between one and two hundred visits to the MJ site a day over the last week. This has resulted in a number of new positive comments and e-mails on the story and some donations too. (Thanks, everyone!)
I’ve been a fan of This Modern World and Tom’s blog for quite some time. He recently made the decision to start selling blog ads, and I couldn’t help but think that his readership would like and relate to MJ. After only a week of having the ad run, I realize I made a great decision. (I plan to experiment with blog ads on other sites in the weeks and months to come.)
I probably should add that I’m running a little behind with my e-mail. If I owe you something, it should be on the way in a day or so.
