MISFIT’S JOURNEY, PRISONOPOLIS, and INFOCHAMELEON: COMPANY CULT are the comics work that I’m most proud of, but I’ve been involved in small press comics communities since the early ’80s when I was still in junior high.

My interest in comics ended up having a very positive effect on my abilities as a writer, an artist, and even as a philosopher and a social critic. Also, in doing small press comics, I got to interact with many comics creators who would later become famous and/or go on to create comics professionally.

The pre-1989 section of Past Works begins with my discovery of comics fandom in the late ’70s and covers the highlights of my small press work up until I dropped out in ’84. It also briefly goes into what I was up to when I was a student at Saint Olaf College from 1984 to 1988.

The post-1989 section of Past Works begins with the comics work I did after dropping out of graduate school. It covers everything up to MISFIT’S JOURNEY — including the period when I published PRISONOPOLIS and INFOCHAMELEON: COMPANY CULT.

I’ve devoted quite a bit of this site to PRISONOPOLIS and Infochameleon, so I feel obligated to offer free downloads of stories from PRISONOPOLIS and my Infochameleon one-shot. (If you’re interested in reading more, contact me to buy the comics.)

At some point, I may be adding downloads of my old MURDER BY CROWQUILL story and some old small press comics.

Actually, if you have any interest in seeing any of the other work I mention in the Past Works sections, contact me. I can make .pdf files with my older work if there is any demand for them.
